Midori Remix

WE BACK!

It’s been a long time since we posted anything here. I think it’s time to sweep up the dust and start dropping some new lyrics.

Let’s start with a rebuild we did this summer, my buddys midori green ruckus. Previously built with questionable mods the owner wanted to rebuild it so that he can actually ride the bike day in, day out.

Everything was redone from the front wheels to the rear. Wiring issues plagued the bike previouly causing battery drain, so swapping out for a new ATR harness V4  was needed. We also installed an electric fuel pump to ensure that enough gas was being feed during wot.

First Class Fitment 2013

LoS Garage took a little road trip last weekend from Chicago to New Jersey for Canibeat’s First Class Fitment show. We drove the LoS support vehicle, an AirRex bagged Honda Fit. From day one, I wanted the Fit to be able to trailer our scooters. So with a hitch installed and a trailer securely attached, GDLK and Kaiju were strapped down and ready to make this 800 mile journey to the east.

LOS in LA

LOS Garage has made the long trip back to the left coast just in time for Super Sunday. Having almost missed my flight in the  morning, I’m just happy to be in LA at all today. After hitting up Daikokuya in Little Tokyo for some ramen and visiting Illest and Bowls for some mandatory shopping, we arrived at our first destination: Steady Garage.

Showing that 2T Love

We walking to Steady Garage and we see some nice bikes just sitting by the entrance. Further down, we find Jimmy doing work!

This is the REAR

After recovering from seeing the previous bike, we continued our journey in California toward Standard Functions. Here we were greeted with an army of bikes getting ready for Super Sunday. So many bikes but not enough time…

If I had to give an award for most unique scooter today, it would be this one right below!

“Interesting…”

GANGSTA LEAN

We wish we could show you all the bikes we saw at SF… but we can’t! There is one special ruckus at SF that demands some time in front of the camera. Last but definitely not least, we present you Maggie May in her latest iteration…

It’s OK to stare

That’s all the day 1 footage we can show you guys for now. LOS will be back with more upcoming coverage of Super Sunday.

Please enjoy the weekend and hopefully we will keep you up to date with the latest from Super Sunday!

Less is More

Time to dust off the winter bug and start cracking again on the custom parts and builds. Right now is about -3 F here in Chicago which is pretty damn cold, but I wanted to come back to the CVT kit i installed on the Kaiju and actually do some weight inspection to see if there are any differences between the stock parts (bin pile) and the aftermarket kit.  We actually weighted the parts while we weighted the rollers. I might  as well find out what im putting in the bike.

Stock parts

Stock Drive Face 115mm: 173g

Stock Ramps 115mm : 283g

Total stock weight: 456g

Upgraded Parts

New Ramps 115mm: 285g

Total weight: 426g

So from the looks of it Im saving about 30g of rotational mass in the CVT alone. I didn’t get to inspect and weight the Clutch bell housing, but I know for sure there was a lot of weight reduction on the aftermarket housing since its CNC. All of the weight  reduction being done on the CVT will help the bike rev faster creating a faster acceleration.

On another note we took the bike out in 30F weather to do a little photoshoot for a euro magazine. Here is a quick teaser and wallpaper if you need one, lol.

98 percent

Its been super busy over the month of June. I finally had time to do more work on the Kaiju bike. We actually started building the GDLK bike since all the parts came back from powdercoating. Here is a quick update on what the Kaiju bike looks like. let me know what you guys think? We actually stretched it out a little more to lower the bike and give a meaner stance.

Here is the party side

This one is all business

A few more detail parts and some titanium goodies and its done!
