Super Saturday BBQ

One of the best if not the best part of Super Sunday was hanging out and meeting all the cool kids on Total Ruckus. It was great to finally put tagnames with faces so next time i see them ranting on TR i can imagine their face yelling at someone. hahha  Another awesome thing part about the Super Sunday weekend was the Standard Function BBQ. One of the best BBQ in a long time. They even had Filipino style Lechon (pig) which was no joke! That on top of other meat feed about 50+ people. Ming the owner of Standard Functions was nice enough to even grab his TV from his house and have the UFC fight live playing for that one guy that wanted it so bad! Hahaha No matter what crew or where you’re from NorCal, Devner, Chicago, New York, Florida, Hawaii, etc you’re always welcome at Standard and Ming is the type of person that will always welcome you.  Here is a video from Honest Mike aka ScootTV!

All in all after re thinking about the SS weekend, I think I would rate this event the best part of Super Sunday, just because i met some new friends and chilled with some of my old friends.  Good times!

LOS in LA

LOS Garage has made the long trip back to the left coast just in time for Super Sunday. Having almost missed my flight in the  morning, I’m just happy to be in LA at all today. After hitting up Daikokuya in Little Tokyo for some ramen and visiting Illest and Bowls for some mandatory shopping, we arrived at our first destination: Steady Garage.

Showing that 2T Love

We walking to Steady Garage and we see some nice bikes just sitting by the entrance. Further down, we find Jimmy doing work!

The Mild Met

Behind the scenes of the project bike that left our minds blown! This is the FRONT

This is the REAR

After recovering from seeing the previous bike, we continued our journey in California toward Standard Functions. Here we were greeted with an army of bikes getting ready for Super Sunday. So many bikes but not enough time…

If I had to give an award for most unique scooter today, it would be this one right below!

“Interesting…”

GANGSTA LEAN

We wish we could show you all the bikes we saw at SF… but we can’t! There is one special ruckus at SF that demands some time in front of the camera. Last but definitely not least, we present you Maggie May in her latest iteration…

It’s OK to stare

That’s all the day 1 footage we can show you guys for now. LOS will be back with more upcoming coverage of Super Sunday.

Please enjoy the weekend and hopefully we will keep you up to date with the latest from Super Sunday!

Less is More

Time to dust off the winter bug and start cracking again on the custom parts and builds. Right now is about -3 F here in Chicago which is pretty damn cold, but I wanted to come back to the CVT kit i installed on the Kaiju and actually do some weight inspection to see if there are any differences between the stock parts (bin pile) and the aftermarket kit.  We actually weighted the parts while we weighted the rollers. I might  as well find out what im putting in the bike.

Stock parts

Stock Drive Face 115mm: 173g

Stock Ramps 115mm : 283g

Total stock weight: 456g

Upgraded Parts

New driveface 115mm : 141g

New Ramps 115mm: 285g

Total weight: 426g

So from the looks of it Im saving about 30g of rotational mass in the CVT alone. I didn’t get to inspect and weight the Clutch bell housing, but I know for sure there was a lot of weight reduction on the aftermarket housing since its CNC. All of the weight  reduction being done on the CVT will help the bike rev faster creating a faster acceleration.

On another note we took the bike out in 30F weather to do a little photoshoot for a euro magazine. Here is a quick teaser and wallpaper if you need one, lol.

Black Friday

As much as I wanted to sleep in today, I’m glad I didn’t. I had already hit up Best Buy, Walmart, Sears, and Frys from Thursday night till Friday morning… words could not explain how tired I felt. (not to mention just getting back from Hong Kong/Macau/Taiwan on Wednesday)

As expected, my short nap turned into more of a long nap. I didn’t wake up in time to meet up with everyone at the Wrigley Field McDonald’s but lucky for me they came down to chinatown.

close ups – any time a group of ruckus come together a crowd is sure to form

rolling DEEP all the way to Niles, IL

Great way to spend Black Friday afternoon… other than sleeping.

LoS in Translation

While most of LoS was in North America, I am spending some time in Hong Kong with some friends and family. Got a chance to hit up Macau this weekend for some food, gambling, and things with 2 and 4 wheels!

just some random scooters

everyone mostly rode yamahas or something that looked like this

as i was walking down the hills, i noticed something that looked oddly familiar…

first/only zoomer i’ve seen so far

under seat storage cover + clear tail lights

everytime i’ve been to macau i’ve seen some interesting vehicles

this mini was no exception

it’s not too hard to see…
